Nema 23 is a stepper motor with 2.3 x 2.3 inches framesize. Suitable for 3D printers, engraving machines, laser cutting machines, CNC numerical control machine tools, medical equipment, mobile photography equipment, robotic arms, etc. In low-speed applications, stepper motors can be driven at the required speed without losing one single step.
Different stepper motors have different torques, and the max. torque is 3Nm. We have provided the datasheet and torque curve. The torque at different motor operating speeds is different and decreases as the speed of the stepping motor increases. The drive signal of the stepping motor generates a magnetic field in the coil of the motor to generate a stepping force. The time required for the magnetic field to reach maximum strength depends on the inductance of the coil, drive voltage and current limit. As the speed increases, the coil will maintain its full strength in a shorter time, and the torque that the motor can generate decreases.
